Pacific Coast Highway

Highway 1, the Pacific Coast Highway, Big Sur, the very name conjures up a sunny afternoon, a convertible and a lazy drive along a winding open road by the ocean.   Well, we got two out of three, but we couldn’t peel the roof back on the truck and turn it into a convertible!

We drove from Carmel to Lucia and here are some of the gorgeous views we saw along the way.

The historic Bixby Bridge, built in 1932.

This was how we viewed the bridge on our way back.

I couldn’t see a way down to this beach.

The road as it winds around the cliffs.

Another high bridge to cross.

Pampas grass grows in abundance along the road.

One last gorgeous view.

Have fun, we are!
