Kolob canyons is the least visited section of Zion National Park, it’s easily accessible from I15.
The short scenic drive ends at an overlook with gorgeous views of the red rock mountains,
one of which has a hanging garden which survives on run off from the mountains.
It was another hot day and the humidity in south west Utah was much higher than we expected so we decided to just hike the short Timber Creek Trail. The trail winds for ½ mile along a ridge and ends with great views.
Unfortunately, due to the time of day we were there all our photographs are taken facing into the sun, so don't show the red rocks to their best advantage.
Have fun, we are!
