On a hot, quite windy day, we took I40 to Kingman and then 93 to Las Vegas. Due to a slight miscalculation, okay I missed the exit to 215W, we ended up taking a shortcut along Tropicana to get back to I15. Ooops! Momentary panic ensued in case there were any low bridges, I’d forgotten, but thankfully there weren’t.
Back on I15 we took the Sahara exit and arrived at the only RV park on the strip, KOA Circus Circus, Las Vegas, as we registered we decided to pay the extra $10.00 a night to have a site with shade and garden chairs. We were so glad we did as it was hot, very hot one day the mercury hit 112F!
The KOA is within easy walking distance of the strip so the truck stayed where it was and we caught the Deuce to wherever we wanted to go, sad to say not one of those trips included winning our fortune, ah well!
We found this on our walk through the KOA, never seen a dog wash station before.
We took a trip up to the top of the Stratosphere and watched the sun go down and the lights come on along the strip.
We also watched as people ‘enjoyed’ the extreme rides at the top, and no we weren’t even vaguely tempted to try them out.
The dancing fountains outside the Bellagio were, as always, spectacular.
Fremont Street has an Absolutely 80’s theme this summer the light show was amazing
as was the live show that had the audience singing and dancing along.
Have fun, we are!
